Golden Globes 2013 – Red Carpet Winners

16 01 2013

So, what did we make of the Golden Globes this year? From what I’ve seen there’s a lot of mixed reactions when it comes to the dresses. Some left me baffled, quite frankly. Too many deep, deep v’s and knicker high splits. Like, weren’t we all making fun on Angelina’s leg last year? And now, everyone is doing it. I do not understand! The Globes fashion has let me down, but I did manage to find a few looks that I liked.

The Top 3…..

Jennifer Lawrence

All in all, too much boob, too much leg, too much dark lipsticks and not enough good risk taking. I am eagerly awaiting the Oscars Red Carpet. Let’s see if my top three will get it right again.

What do you guys think??!

Teen Choice Awards 2012 – Top 3

29 07 2012

So the teen choice awards happened not so long ago. It’s an award show I like a lot actually. For once, our young stars act their age instead of wearing clothes much too old for them. You can be sure to see lots of leg at this ceremony – and I like it! There was tough competition this year for the Number One spot. In the end I had to go with the outfit I would most like to wear myself. Here are my top three ladies…. some controversy may occur…..

So, who do we have here?!

1. Nikki Reed who wore a Contrarian New York top and skirt, Brian Atwood shoes and a Jimmy Choo clutch. A special mention for her AWESOME pony tail. I love it!

2. Taylor Swift wore a Maria Lucia Hohan dress with Prada Shoes and Edie Parker clutch. Taylor doing what she does best (apart from singing!), the sweet girly look.

3. Holland Roden from Teen Wolf wearing Alive + Olivia. Holland just made 3rd position – I just liked how she kept it young and true to herself.

Due to recent happenings, my previous 3rd place winner got knocked back a spot. Kristen Stewart. What can one say about her at the moment! Regardless, that Roberto Cavalli blazer deserves a mention. This casual chic look is one I go for a lot. I just try wearing a smile while doing it! Maybe she knew what was in the pipeline for her…..

So, what do you guys think? Did anyone else blow you away?!

A Hair-y Situation!

24 03 2011

Grrrrr! Shouldn’t going to the hairdresser be relaxing?! Oh nightmare scenario guys. Spent 3 hours, and 150 euro, and all my best chit-chat yesterday at my hairdressers, only to come home, wash my hair and cry and moan to my sister. It was not good! The colour was wrong, the cut was not what I asked for and the blow dry?! Oh god, the poof would give Snooki a run for her money. Leaving the hairdressers I was tempted to wrap a scarf around my head and run the whole way to the car. Being honest, I never really enjoy a trip to the hairdresser. I’m too fussy and it normally takes me a bit of time to adjust and get a handle on it myself. I’m lucky that I have very obedient hair – it normally does what its told. As I’ve mentioned a few times now, I’ve my brothers wedding coming up (3 weeks tomorrow!!!) so it was really important to me that my hair was right. I even left enough adjusting time! But alas, I can’t shake this feeling so I’m going back to the hairdresser tomorrow to lighten it up. The poof has washed out and the cut should be fine (though I’m not quite sure what to do with this little side fringe thing that’s going on….). As long as the colour is good, and its lengthy enough for the upstyle Iwant, I’ll b happy.

Bringing me to my next point! Upstyles, not something I would go for normally. I’m very fond of my wavy hair! I’ve been googling a few options, and checking magazines. Cos, the morning of the wedding, I do not wanna be having another meltdown like the one yesterday!! Here’s some casual up looks I like so far.

(You knew she'd have to be in here somewhere, right?!)

After Party Chic….

2 03 2011

So, if you’re not a movie star, but maybe a socialite or musician, you still get the chance to wow us if you’re lucky enough to be invited to the Oscar’s after party. This, to me, sounds like the good part! Especially if you had to sit through James Franco’s and Anne Hathaway’s poor presenting on the night! Whatever about Anne, didn’t you think Franco would rather get shot in the foot?! Vanity Fair throw a big party every year and roll out the red carpet. And I’m glad they did! Quite impressed with some of the outfits, starting with my two favourite  – two lovely british lassies!

I really love Emma Roberts style, she chooses great dresses. This one being spectacular! And good ol’ Florence, keeping the style stakes high!
