Golden Globes 2013 – Red Carpet Winners

16 01 2013

So, what did we make of the Golden Globes this year? From what I’ve seen there’s a lot of mixed reactions when it comes to the dresses. Some left me baffled, quite frankly. Too many deep, deep v’s and knicker high splits. Like, weren’t we all making fun on Angelina’s leg last year? And now, everyone is doing it. I do not understand! The Globes fashion has let me down, but I did manage to find a few looks that I liked.

The Top 3…..

All in all, too much boob, too much leg, too much dark lipsticks and not enough good risk taking. I am eagerly awaiting the Oscars Red Carpet. Let’s see if my top three will get it right again.

What do you guys think??!

The Golden Globes 2012

16 01 2012

Well, what can I say?! This is gonna be short and sweet – due to the lack of inspirational outfits on this year’s red carpet. Is it just me? Am I the only person out there who found the style boring and PALE?! So freakin’ pale and bride-like. There was no contest with my winner. She stood out a mile for me. I kept comparing everyone else to her. I hope you don’t find my choices too predictable, but in a sea of red carpet bores, here are the FEW that excited me!

The Winner - Claire Danes in J Mendel

Emma Stone - Lanvin

Sofia Vergara - Vera Wang

Jessica Biel - Ellie Saab

And that’s it! That’s all I’m posting. My top three, and a special mention to Jessica Biel. Though pale and bride-like, you can’t deny it’s beauty. I’m also going to mention Angelina Jolie. It was her make up that won me over. A beautiful red pout to match her dress. She’s gorgeous! There were a few others I liked, like Mila Kunis and Jessica Alba in a beautiful, figure hugging Gucci, but overall, I felt let down by the style this year. Maybe they are luring us into a false sense of security for the Oscars. I, for one, am definitely hoping for a lot more POW on that carpet!

Who have I missed? Am I forgetting your favourite? Who stole the show for you?!

My MET Ball Favs!

4 05 2011

It’s a serious fashion event, and most celebs pull out all the stops! There were so many to look at, I kept forgetting who wore what! But a few favourites stuck in my mind….. Who agrees with me on these bad boys?!

Style at the SAG’s!

31 01 2011

We are flying through the awards now, aren’t we?! Not that I’m complaining – I love these events for the style alone. Never do I heed the nominees or winners – it’s all about the Red Carpet! As with most Red Carpet events, there are the good, the bad and the ugly. And a whole lot of ugly turned up at the SAG’s this year!

Here is my favourite – Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta – simply stunning.

Lots of great style from fellow Glee Ladies……

Dianna Agron in Vintage Chanel

Jayma Mays in Jenny Packman

My Golden Globe Girl, Mila Kunis, blew me away again – smokin’!

Again, loving Claire Danes – such beauty!

Hilary Swank – the jury is still out for me! I like it, then I don’t, I just don’t know! What do you think??

I thought about posting a few of the horrible choices at the SAGS, but then I realised I’d b here all night 🙂 Have I left any stunners out?!

Golden Globes – My Favourites!

17 01 2011

Gosh, do I love a good awards ceremony! The fashion, the accessories and the beauty – what’s not to love. We gotta love the Globes cos it’s not just about the movie stars. This year, I found quite a few looks that I love. Looking at them all with my sister and she reckons I’ve chosen one or two controversial looks…. But I just love dresses! My absolute favourite is Mila Kunis in her stunning green Vera Wang. I die! I am currently looking up ways to have this dress made for me – pure love. See the rest after the jump!

Mila Kunis, Vera Wang

Claire Danes, Calvin Klein

Dianna Agron, J Mendes

Leighton Meester, Burberry Prorsum

Olivia Wilde, Marchesa

Anna Hathaway, Armani

Rumer Willis

Selena Gomez

Loving the blush looks and a few of the nude ones. I’m being a bit predictable with my outfit choices, I know. The only one im not so sure about is Olivia Wilde, but I do love a bit of sparkle! I was so shocked and disappointed with the lovely Natalie Portman – being pregnant does not give you an excuse to dress poorly on the red carpet! What did you guys think? Who’s topping the fashion charts these days?

PS. Let’s not forget about the men – some hotties on the carpet! Some one get me closer to Andrew Garfield from The Social Network – omfg!
