Alex and Ani +Energy

28 02 2013

Yaaaaay! I waited so long to get my hands on some amazing Alex and Ani jewellery. After learning about their positive energy philosophy, I was sold. The only problem was deciding which symbol was for me, which is possibly why it took me so long to get these gorgeous bangles. Wanna see?!

So, my choices. Well I had to go with Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travel. Travel means so much to me and this symbol represents strength, protection and aid. Followed up with Seven Swords, which is actually a symbol of love and radiance. It represents seven Archangels and their world of love symbolised by a radiant flame. The Om symbol is probably the best known one. Its a sound resonating throughout the body into the soul. Alex and Ani tell us to wear this charm to connect with inner spirit, accept serenity and embrace faith.

I know what you might be thinking…. a load of waffle? But you can’t deny how cute they are. I am thrilled with my charms and intend to embrace their +Energy. And, I am not the only one – The Alex and Ani counter was very popular with many of the charms selling out here in Arnotts. Get them QUICK!

xmas3

Are you like me? Do you carry your life in your handbag?! I am constantly trying to make mine lighter, but it’s difficult to do so when you receive lovely every day items such as these! These are more of my Christmas presents. I especially love the Louis Vuitton passport cover. Thanks to my twin and his gorgeous GF!

Winter Days

9 01 2013

xmas2

It was a shock to the system to feel such a drop in temperature this morning – but my favourite thing about Winter is the excuse to wear hats and fur…. non stop… all the time. Running out of storage place for my hats – recent storage places include lamps (that are not being used, of course!) and bookshelves. Sorry, housemates!!! ūüôā

– Fur Collar, Awear

Sweets for my Sweet…

xmas1

And sweet it was – opening these goodies on Christmas morning. My family know me well – Mulberry and Sequins. I loved all my gifts so much this year that I think I will do another post showing the rest. It’s hard to believe that magical season is well and truly over. I am so thankful to be starting 2013 with the best family and friends. In true January style, changes need to be made. It’s gonna be a busy month! Happy New Year to all my lovely readers!

JW Anderson for Topshop

15 09 2012

There has been a lot of collaborations recently of Designer and High Street. Many of which have left me disappointed – Versace and H&M, I’m looking at you! But this most recent coming together is worth the hype. The plan is to pick up two distinct pieces from the collection but, with quilted paisley, loafers and zebra prints galore, it’s proving to be quite difficult to choose. Here’s what I have my eye on….

The knit, crisp white shirt and pleat skirt is a look I shall be trying to emulate. Maybe even paired with the loafers, if I should be so lucky! I adore the paisley skirt and it’s hard not to love the cute accessories too. Really, there is just so much to work with, it’s hard not to want it all! A case of *eyesbiggerthanmybelly* for sure!

What pieces are you coveting?!

Teen Choice Awards 2012 – Top 3

29 07 2012

So the teen choice awards happened not so long ago. It’s an award show I like a lot actually. For once, our young stars act their age instead of wearing clothes much too old for them. You can be sure to see lots of leg at this ceremony – and I like it! There was tough competition this year for the Number One spot. In the end I had to go with the outfit I would most like to wear myself. Here are my top three ladies…. some controversy may occur…..

So, who do we have here?!

1. Nikki Reed who wore a Contrarian New York top and skirt, Brian Atwood shoes and a Jimmy Choo clutch. A special mention for her AWESOME pony tail. I love it!

2. Taylor Swift wore a Maria Lucia Hohan dress with Prada Shoes and Edie Parker clutch. Taylor doing what she does best (apart from singing!), the sweet girly look.

3. Holland Roden from Teen Wolf wearing Alive + Olivia. Holland just made 3rd position – I just liked how she kept it young and true to herself.

Due to recent happenings, my previous 3rd place winner got knocked back a spot. Kristen Stewart. What can one say about her at the moment! Regardless, that Roberto Cavalli blazer deserves a mention. This casual chic look is one I go for a lot. I just try wearing a smile while doing it! Maybe she knew what was in the pipeline for her…..

So, what do you guys think? Did anyone else blow you away?!

Hey All!

Isn’t it crazy how quickly the time is flying by?! I have barely had a minute to sit down. But I’m not complaining. Love this time of year – if only the weather would improve. I’ve still to wear any of my summer dresses! Are you the same as me?! Here’s some snapshots of what I’ve been up to lately!

Masquerade for the Upcoming Body and Soul Festival

I am extremely excited to wear my mask this weekend. It won’t be a fancy affair though – in fact, Wellies make up the rest of this outfit. I would love to go to a real Masquerade ball. It reminds me of Gossip Girl. I have high hopes for finding my ‘Chuck Bass’ in a sea of masks this weekend!
