Jewellery Haul

29 05 2012

With my wardrobe bursting at the seams at the minute, I decided to stock up on some new accessories. A few of the old reliables have gone missing…. My arms and fingers are bare! So where did I go??? Forever 21 of course! When in need of a jewellery fix, its a must. So much choice and some amazing gems too. Not forgetting how reasonably priced – guilt free shopping at it’s best. After my stop there, I ducked into River Island and New Look. As I’m trying to save at the moment, I was bargain hunting. Let’s see what you think!

Love all Fatima Hand and Evil Eye Jewellery!!

The last necklace comes with a story – the sales assistant threw everything in together and I had to spend ages detangling it. Annoying because, there’s actually meant to be a bit thats tangled so it sits properly and now I’ve untangled the whole thing! Grrrrr! I’m quite happy with my spending though. Have some other items to show, but that’s for another day!

Don’t forget to check back, y’all! :)

Printed Jeans #2

16 05 2012

Fast becoming a new obsession of mine, the printed jean look. I love jeans. I wear them all the time! They are very much a staple in every girl’s wardrobe, but the printed jean is a good way to break out of your style rut. Both of my (new) jeans have been paired with really plain tops and some interesting jewellery. The weather is still awful here so my tanned legs aren’t getting much of an outing. Come on, Summer! Haven’t we waited long enough!

Jeans – Marks and Spencers

Bracelets – Topshop and ASOS

Ring – Primark

T- Shirt - Zara

I spotted similar jeans on Lauren Conrad at Coachella this year. As you guys know, I totally love her. When running through M&S one day, I saw these jeans out of the corner of my eye. It actually led to me having a good root there where I picked up a tropical print top and debated over a lace yellow dress for nearly forty minutes!

What do you think of fashion’s new take on ’The Jean’? Any suggestions for other kinds?

xoxo

PS. I also tried an Ombre-esque nail art idea!

New in – printed jeans

2 05 2012

Tried on a million types of printed trousers recently! I really wanted a floral pair for work bit haven’t found the right pair yet! Instead, these caught my eye in Zara and they’ve been getting many a outing! It’s absolutely freezing in Dublin this week – where is summer??! – but I’m trying my best to wear Summer pieces. Note to self : always carry a scarf and umbrella!

Here’s a quick snap I took of my outfit while stuck in traffic! Dangerous, I know!

Event – Diet Coke & Jean Paul Gaultier

20 04 2012

Wow, Diet Coke have really stepped up their marketing this year, haven’t they? If you can think back, not so long ago I got to attend the Diet Coke & Benefit Launch, and just this week it was Jean Paul Gaultier’s turn. This particular new marketing campaign has been getting a lot of attention, especially with the main launch being held in Paris and the man himself in attendance. I’m thrilled Ireland got the chance to celebrate this collaboration, and even more thrilled to have been invited! It was a really fun night – thanks to all involved!

Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs

10 04 2012

While in Paris, I absolutely had to get to the Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs exhibit in Les Arts Decoratifs. And boy, am I glad! It was truly a beautiful experience. This is a must-see for all fashion and art lovers. It shows both their impact on the fashion world, as innovators and creators. It beautifully begins with Vuitton’s famous luggage history and leads right up to recent catwalk shows, with of course, an impressive bag walk showcasing all the lust-after items! Unfortunately, camera’s were not allowed – but cheeky me – I managed a few snaps on my I-phone before being told off by security. Anyone travelling to Paris before September – get down to this exhibition!

A word of thanks to my lovely sister for braving the cold and the queue with me, and for distracting security so I could get some pictures!

xoxo

P.S. It’s true what they say about Paris in the Spring! <3

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all treated yourselves – I’m still tucking in to the chocolate eggs! Yum!

When I was Paris recently, I kept seeing the Isabel Marant high tops. Paris girls are obsessed with this shoe and who can blame them?!! Unfortunately, my budget does not stretch that far. But I did treat myself to these and I love them!
